Crowd Pleasers

Here are Just a Few of My More Popular Crowd Pleasers

You can provide the DJ with prizes (as budget allows) from simple movie passes and gift cards to CDs, DVDs, CD Players, etc.  These prizes will allow the DJ to interact with the crowd with games and other crowd participation activities.  It is amazing how far this will go for your event!

Of course there are the classic activities:

Freeze Dance

Limbo (Chubby Checker - Limbo Rock)

Pie Eating

Trivia Contests of all sorts

Specialty (Novelty) Dances

MEGA BALLOON MOSH PIT

Get more of your gang on the dance floor with balloons rubberbanded to their ankles.  When the music starts, everyone tries to stomp out everyone else's balloon! The last person with inflation gets elation!

Truth or Dare

You ask somebody a personal question and if they answer the audience decides if they are telling the truth or lying.... or they can do a Dare.

DIGITAL FIESTA

We line up sombreros and give each participant three compact discs.  All they need to do is sail ONE of those CD's into the hat to win!  A fast moving game that assures lots of prize winners.  Great for fundraising!

CUSTOM TRIVIA

We'll sit down with you and come up with brainteaser questions especially for your company or group.  What year were you founded?  How does your CEO like their coffee?  What was the last convention where you spent too much money?  What's the name of the receptionists kids?

KONFOUNDED KARAOKE!

We play the first part of a fun song then stop the music!  To win, you must either sing the next line of the song or name the song title and artist.  You could even require them to sing it!

Let's Make a Deal

Where you ask audience members for an object that not everyone might have in their purse or pocket but chances are somebody will... like a red hair pick, bobby pin, or silver money clip... then give them a prize... then you can ask them if they want to keep the prize or go for what's in your hand/box/bag.

MUSICAL CHAIRS SCAVENGER HUNT

A list of common (or not so common) items is constructed.  Seven (or so) chairs are set-up and eight people volunteer.  When the music starts, the contestants search near and far for the item and sit back into the chairs.  There will always be one less chair than person so each time a person will be eliminated till there is only one left.  During each round, a chair is removed

SUCK IT UP!

A wild relay race using nothing but suction!  Teams line up and each member is given a straw.  The object is to get a marshmallow from one side of the room to the other using only suction power through your straw.  Each winning team member gets a prize.

Baseball

Two teams of four people each; one from each team gets a pair of pantyhose leg around their waist so that the leg with the softball hangs down between their legs.  Put two tennis balls on the floor.  One member from each team then swings their hips back and forth so the softball hits the tennis ball across to their teammate on the other side of the room.  (Put a goal line to cross the floor with some tape)  Once the tennis ball goes over the line, the pantyhose is passed to the next team member who hits the ball to the other side.  The team who has all their members hit the ball across the room wins.

Orange Pass

Everyone on the dance floor is to form a circle.  The DJ will place an orange under one person's chin and start some fun music.  The person with the orange is now to pass it to the person to the right's chin.  Hands are not to be used.  This continues around the circle.  Anyone who drops the orange or uses the hands is to place it under the other person's chin is "out".  The winner is the one who was able to keep the orange under the chin during passes without dropping it.

Clothespin Relay

This is set-up like any relay with multiple teams, each with five clothespins.  Have the first person in line attach the clothespins to their shirt, clothes, or body part, run around a designated point and return to have the clothes pin removed by a designated pin person with their teeth and then they are pinned to the next person in line ant person runs and comes back.  This is done until the last person makes it back and all the pins are removed.

TP OverUnder

This pathetic game works sometimes, although don't count your chickens.  Line up your teams (however many you want) The object of the game is to pass toilet paper, unraveling it as you go over their head.. then the next person under their legs and so on until the back of the line.  If toilet paper breaks, the person must tie it together before continuing to unravel.  First one to the back of the line wins.

Huggy Bear

Everyone starts dancing.  When the music stops, the DJ calls out a number, and everyone must get in groups of that number.  You can become creative by breaking up the crowd by having them have one shoe, one person with braces, etc.
